Seniors Enjoy Breakfast and Raffle

By Brianna Reaves

On October 20, 2017, seniors attended the senior breakfast. They got the chance to have breakfast, mingle with their peers, and enter in a raffle.

The breakfast was paid for by donations from the PTSA parents who have seniors. These parents also planned and set up the breakfast. Mrs. Jennifer Golden, teacher and senior advisor, helped organize the event.

“The purpose is for the seniors to have a big event and to build camaraderie,”said Golden.

The seniors had the options of having Chick-n-Minis from Chick-Fil-A, a Krispy Kreme doughnut, and either a banana or an orange. After all of the students were served, they were allowed to get a second serving.

As the seniors walked into the cafeteria they were handed raffle tickets. After the students received their meal, Chief Hanson announced the winning raffle tickets. Some of the prizes included: water bottles, purses, jewelry, fuzzy socks, prom tickets, free yearbooks and gift cards. The raffle made the breakfast a fun and enjoyable experience for the seniors.

“The senior breakfast was full of happy faces and good food! I mean who doesn’t love free food,” said senior Hailey Sailes.

After the breakfast, the seniors were escorted to the football stadium. There the students would be arranged to form the number eighteen for the class of 2018.The picture is used for the yearbook where the graduating class will be able to look back at their high school memories.
