Students Have Fun at Homecoming Dance

By Megan Petero

On Saturday, October 22, the annual Pinecrest High Homecoming Dance took place at Pine Needles in Southern Pines. The dance was originally scheduled for October 8, but was moved because of Hurricane Matthew. Despite this change, the dance went off without a hitch.

“It was the most fun I’ve had with my friends in a while,” said sophomore Grace McFadden. “Everybody was in really good spirits and just super happy.”

Foxy 99, a radio station based in Fayetteville, deejayed the dance. Along with music, snacks and drinks were provided to students.

“I loved Homecoming,” said junior Gabby Flanders. “The music was good, but there weren’t a lot of food options.”

All night students could be seen dancing and having a good time.

Overall, the Homecoming Dance was a success. Food, music, and friends made for a fun evening for Pinecrest Students.
