Students Go Fishing

By Katie Blevins

Pinecrest’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) held their annual Fishing Tournament on Friday, October 28 from 4- 6:30pm.

The tournament  gave anyone who loves fishing an opportunity to be with their friends and go fishing.

Students didn't have to be a member of FFA to participate in the tournament, they just had to pay a $5 entry fee.

The fee not only allowed students to compete for the cash  prize, but it was also their meal ticket so they could eat at the cookout.

The teacher advisers in charge of this event were Mrs. Key and Mrs. Manning.

Mrs. Key said, “Every year the tournament keeps getting bigger and better.”

Mrs. Manning said, “The tournament wouldn’t have gone as well as it did without the school support system.”

Sophomore Justice Trepcyk caught the most fish while freshman Hunter Scott caught the biggest fish.
